Most notably for me in the last few years, time has become a huge factor, and trying to fit in a 1 - 2 hour workout per day just isn’t realistic. Also, after working out for well over 30 years of my life, it’s hard to keep motivated, especially if the workouts are long and boring, which is why I gravitate towards shorter duration, high intensity workouts.

If you’re doing any kind of interval training, you’ll need a good stopwatch so you can time your alternating periods of effort and recovery during your workouts. But when the intervals are short, it becomes a hassle to have to keep looking down at your stopwatch - especially if you only have a 10 second rest period. Thankfully, there’s a MUCH better and easier way. It’s called the Gymboss Interval Timer and I recommend it to all my clients. It allows you to accurately time your effort and recovery periods so you don’t have to worry about missing your next interval.
