About 75 million U.S. adults experience some sort of chronic pain, with low-back pain among the most common complaints.
Although you can get temporary symptomatic relief from medications like Tylenol, Motrin and Aleve, it’s by no means a permanent solution…and taking too many meds can cause other serious health complications.
So what’s the best remedy for chronic low back pain? Well, the solution comes from understanding how the problem first came about.
Modern conveniences have made us increasingly more sedentary and less active. This has contributed to our ever expanding waist line, as well as, all of the health problems associated with it.
Although being overweight definitely adds to the problem. Surprisingly, it’s not the most common cause.

Every few months all of the major footwear companies come out with their latest and greatest running shoes. Some even have built-in computers that help you keep track of how much you ran!
Nowadays every possible technology you can think of is being implemented into the shoes…heck with all of the money being spent on R&D, you’d think they’d be able to make shoes with wings so you can fly!
Unfortunately, most of the new technologies are more about hype and marketing gimmick then anything that’s actually useful or beneficial.
In fact, the latest research done on runners wearing the latest technologically advanced shoes, is that it actually puts more stress on your leg joints including your hips, knees and ankles than walking in a pair of high heels! Can you imagine that?
The truth is you don’t need to get caught up in the hype and pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of athletic shoes that may look nice, but can actually harm you. It’s no secret that the biggest fat burning muscles in your body are your legs. They are the largest muscles in your body and therefore require the most amount of energy when used. Since your legs are the primary muscles that drive your heart rate up, the more you use them the harder your heart pumps. And the harder your heart works, the more calories you burn and the fitter you get. So if you want to keep up your fitness and fat burning progress, you’d better take care of your legs—especially your knees.
