Now, I’m a fan of interval training, so I always do some type of interval cardio when I run. So whether you’re on a track or a park or even on the side streets of your neighborhood try doing some intervals. It can be as simple as running fast one block followed by an easy run the next block and repeat it a number times. It’s a great fat burning and cardio workout. But even if you’re doing a longer easier run, this warm up drill is still very beneficial. The warm up can be done anywhere. All you need is a pair of running shoes and maybe your favorite tunes playing on your iPod.
