The Curtsy Squat was inspired from the “Curtsy”, a traditional gesture of greeting used in the past by women. Today you may see women using it to greet British Royals and ballerinas may also use it to greet the audience at the end of a performance.
Either way, it’s a great lower body exercise, but it’s even better when you combine it with an upper body move like a press up.
This exercise only uses one dumbbell, but if you’re feeling up to it, try doing this exercise with two dumbbells!
