How to Make Push-Ups More Effective (and Fun!)

If you’ve tried my dynamic warmup, you already know “Push Up with a Twist.” Here’s how to take this popular move and make it even more effective.

This exercise is a more challenging version of the regular Push Up with A Twist.

Usually the “Push Up with A Twist” is performed as part of a Dynamic Warm Up Routine, but adding dumbbells to the exercise makes this a much more challenging.

You can perform this exercise alone or combine it with another exercise like the Squat Jumps to make it a fun and effective workout.

If you’d like to create a workout out of this move, try this…

8 reps of Push Up with A Twist (Dumbbells) followed immediately with 10 Squat Jumps.  Take 30 seconds to 1 minute rest and repeat it 4 - 6 rounds.

This is a great workout you can do pretty much anywhere!
