Being healthy and fit is a choice. A choice that requires commitment, dedication and…just as important…the right attitude. Too many people associate exercising, working out and eating healthy as a chore and something they have to do in order to lose weight and look a certain way.

There’s no fault in wanting to look good… I mean let’s be honest, it’s probably the number one reason why most of us exercise (and improving your health being a close second).  But having the right attitude makes the process of getting healthy and fit much more enjoyable.  Find joy in the process, so you can get more out of exercising, being active and eating healthy, than just going through the motions like a chore you absolutely dread doing.

Moving your body, exercising and generally staying active not only keeps you healthy but it’s a great way to stay YOUNG and HAPPY!  Not to mention keeping your brain young and sharp.  A recent study showed that exercising improved the cognitive function of aging adults.

Just ask this young 82 year old.  He’s got a zest for life and a mind of twenty year old… I love it!  I want to be like him when I get to his age.  I think we can all take a tip from him…stay active and you’ll never grow old physically and mentally.

Attitude goes a long way and even though he passed away at the age of 82, he certainly lived life to the fullest. Some may wonder why he died even though he was clearly living a very healthy lifestyle?  I think that’s looking at the glass half empty.  Who’s to say that he didn’t prolong his life by 10, 20 or 30 years?  It’s about making the most out of each day and embracing all the joys of life… and that he certainly did.

P.S.  BTW, I’m not sure if you caught the part of the interview where he mentioned what supplements he was taking or not, but he mentions Krill Oil as one of his daily supplements.  This shouldn’t come as a surprise since Krill Oil is packed with Omega-3 Fatty Acids which fight inflammation along with antioxidants to combat free radicals.  Since inflammation and free radicals are two of the biggest contributing factors for premature aging and diseases, it’s critical that you consume enough Omega-3 Fatty Acids in your diet to optimize your health and longevity.
